Cummins Facade
The Cummins facade for the building of its new gigafactory In Guadalajara, it stands out for its long development, which reaches 200 meters in length. The curtain wall is formally distributed in a series of sections separated by different elements, boxes and profiles, which generate a rhythm along the façade, highlighting the entrance and keeping pace with the structure of the building.
The system chosen for the Cummins façade is the R70ST open wound system which allows the use of elements outside the façade plane where they are required. In this façade, the vertical slats highlight the union between some of the panels, generating different sequences in each panel. The slats rise to the highest level independently of the curtain wall, giving rise to a free space filter terraced under the roof.
