Gonzalo Carro received the Veteco-Asefave Award for Best Facade from José María Ezquiaga Domínguez, dean of the COAM, the organizing body of these Awards.

The white colour of the profiles used, forming a grid of vertical and horizontal lacquered aluminium slats, reinforces the image of the whole, contrasting with the surroundings.

The jury of the awards Veteco-Asefave, chaired by Luis Comeron Graupera, president of the Higher Council of Colleges of Architects of Spain (CSCAE), has highlighted the coherence of the sober image of the building with its use for research, while also reflecting the avant-garde work being carried out there.
