VETECO ASEFAVE Award for best sun protection in the I Architecture Awards with eÑe

We are in luck! The facade of the building for the headquarters of the General Directorate of State Assets has been awarded the Veteco-Asefave Prize in the solar protection category at the 1st Architecture with Ñ Awards given on the occasion of the Veteco 2016 fair.

Congratulations to Bayón Architects and the entire technical team that made it possible!

Minutes of the jury for the Veteco-Asefave 2016 award

«Project that shows a refined dialogue with the environment and with the pre-existing elements of the site, the Reader's Digest building by Corrales and Molezún. The façade turns this building into a double glass prism that contains itself, ventilated between both light and softly translucent layers, seeking in everything the abstraction of a pure polyhedron of equal façades whose outer skin is a levitated sheet that does not reach the ground. This double ventilated façade, protected internally by blinds, offers a simple and conventional, although very refined, solution that achieves solar, thermal and light adaptation of the building.»
