During the next few months, the installation of the facades for the Los Patos Library in Córdoba will be carried out. On this occasion, Riventi will be in charge of the construction of all the glass elements of the building, both on its northwest facade facing Avenida América and on its southeast facade facing the Rosaleda park. This building, designed by Paredes Pedrosa Architects and built by Barroso Nava and Co., S.A., is scheduled for completion in 2018.
«Special attention has been paid in this project to the solar protection of the two main facades facing Avenida de América and towards the park. The northwest orientation of the first and the southeast orientation of the second require different solar protection systems. On the facade facing Avenida de América, a double facade of glass and perforated aluminum lattices is projected, which in turn constitute the most representative image of the new institution. This second enclosure produces transparency between both layers of facade and filters the excess of sunlight and light. Towards the park, the deep overhang that forms the terrace of the reading room on level +1 shades the facade of the children's area in the summer months when the sun is highest and allows the sun to enter in the winter months. Likewise, the roof skylights are oriented to the north and protected from the south by perforated aluminum lattices that filter the light inside the central space of the Library.» More information about the project at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport
