Biocruces Curtain Wall Facade

Veteco-Asefave Award for best light façade.

The new headquarters of the BioCruces Institute It is a highly flexible building that can house laboratories and adapt to changes. The award-winning building Veteco-Asefave The best light façade is configured with an outer skin like a dense and uniform fabric to offer protection against direct sunlight while safeguarding the direct lines of sight of nearby buildings. Only in certain more representative areas, such as the entrance or rest areas, the envelope opens to offer its representative character. The white colour of the profiles used, forming a grid of vertical and horizontal lacquered aluminium slats, reinforces the image of the whole, contrasting with the environment.

The jury of the awards Veteco-Asefave, chaired by Luis Comeron Graupera, president of the Higher Council of Colleges of Architects of Spain (CSCAE), has highlighted the coherence of the sober image of the building with its use for research, while also reflecting the avant-garde work being carried out there.

From here our most sincere congratulations to the team of IDOMIt is a pleasure to make your facade projects a reality.
