Riventi, tireless innovation for the best solution.

Below we offer you the complete interview that FAE magazine conducted with our director, Guillermo Rilova, in its latest issue, on the occasion of the FEMEBUR award recently given to Riventi for its innovation.

Offering a complete and personalized service to architects, builders and clients is the value that defines its philosophy. Riventi has just been recognized with the latest edition of the FEMEBUR award.

.- What is your work philosophy?

Offering a complete and personalized service, both for architects and builders and clients, is the value that defines our philosophy.

Therefore everything we do is geared towards customer satisfaction and developing the optimal solution through tireless innovation.

.- What do you offer to clients that other companies in the sector do not?

Customized solutions.

So that everyone understands, we are dedicated to dressing buildings, but this suit is not a standard suit that you find in any shop. In fact, it is like going to the tailor to have a tailor-made suit made for us, and that is why we always say that our job is to make tailor-made suits for each building.

The process begins in the architectural studio. When an architect thinks about an envelope for his building, he usually has a clear idea of the exterior image, but he needs an engineering company that is capable of calculating, designing and manufacturing his idea with a certified system, of great durability over time, that provides sustainability to his building and that, aesthetically, is a unique work.

.- What aspects differentiate you from other companies in the sector?

I think that what sets us apart and gives us value compared to other companies in the sector is, as a base, our own façade systems, certified and tested for more than 20 years. This translates into know-how and experience for any project, and also our agility, from the development of the design, with exclusive solutions, to the installation of the finished product, meeting the client's expectations.

.- You have just received the FEMEBUR award. What does it mean to you?

Great joy and pride for the recognition of the work of a company made up of people, of professionals who are dedicated to this exciting project.

I would like to thank the Burgos Metal Federation for this recognition, which we highly value, as it is an award between colleagues, and this is much more valuable to me personally.

.- Which projects are you most satisfied with?

The truth is that we remember the latest works as the most unique, but we should not forget the first works, such as the Isozaki Towers of Bilbao. After this, others of much greater magnitude arrived, such as the City of Justice of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria With 40,000 square meters of curtain wall, due to its complexity I remember the Romo House of Culture due to the difficulty in engineering to solve three-dimensional envelopes of the second skin, but, really, we have executed the most unique projects in the last two years, such as, for example, the State Heritage Headquarters (Best Facade Award 2014 Saint-Gobain, COAM Award 2016 and Veteco-Asefave Award in the 1st Architecture with Ñ Awards), or the Biocruces building, recently completed, and winner of the Veteco-Asfave award for Best Facade 2018 at the II Architecture with Ñ Awards.

Other important projects are, for example, the City of Justice of Cordoba (Selected for the Mies Van de Rohe Awards).

I will also mention the building of houses on Manuel de la Cuesta Street from Burgos where we introduce the concept of conventional carpentry with blinds in curtain wall modules with the maximum comfort features that can be required of a home.

Our last one Large project in Barcelona recently completed in the 22@ area. This is an office building with more than 20,000 square meters of curtain wall where we introduced a second skin of ceramic tubes as a brisé soleil. It is an efficient building that enjoys Leed Platinum sustainability certification. We are currently working on changing the facades of the first large skyscraper in northern Spain, the legendary BBVA in BilbaoThe original curtain walls will be completely replaced with new generation ones, without any aesthetic change perceptible to pedestrians.

.- What are RIVENTI's future plans?

We don't know what the future will bring. Riventi's future is to continue to advance in what has made us leaders, developing cutting-edge products for the construction of facades while maintaining the conservative idea of our procedures, our know-how,... because when something works well, I don't think it should be changed.

It is true that we must make commitments to robotisation, industry 4.0, new materials and manufacturing technologies... in short, a global system that helps us with prefabrication, avoiding errors, more exhaustive and realistic planning and, with all this, achieve what will be the connectivity of facades. What is this? They will be smart facades that manage themselves.
