In our quest to innovate we have had the opportunity to incorporate GRC panels in one of our curtain wall systems for facades. During the last few days our technical team has been developing, based on the instructions of the project drafting team, a sample for the facade of the new headquarters APE Group in Castellón, which we are sure will spark interest in the sector.
The sample, carried out for subsequent evaluation by the technical team drafting the project, has been made in our facilities and presented with great satisfaction by our technical team. As can be seen in the images, it has been possible to integrate a prefabricated GRC piece into one of our systems, the R50SG with 70mm profiles. In addition, special machining of the profiles has been carried out, with variable inclination cuts, which seek to obtain a special volumetric geometry. Riventi has a machining machine for large-sized parts that allows for skewing of any type of profile.
Regarding the GRC panel, "Glass Reinforced Concrete» or what is the same Micro concrete reinforced with alkali-resistant fiberglass, It is worth noting that its versatility and homogeneous mixture allow it to be moulded with great freedom, creating pieces of different shapes and finishes. This material, increasingly in demand by architects and engineers, has excellent physical and technical qualities, which guarantee its durability and resistance.
The result is a sample that has allowed the editorial team to evaluate our work very positively and to once again take another step forward in the development of structural facades. What we are sure of is that it will not be the last time that we incorporate this material into our curtain wall systems for facades, since the combination could not have been more spectacular.
