Thanks to the configurations allowed by our R50SG system, high energy efficiency has been achieved in the façade of the Romo Kultur Etxea. With this building, Riventi continues to innovate.
In its commitment to respond to the most demanding requirements in both design and performance, Riventi has developed the curtain wall system R50SG, which allows the creation of continuous glass planes supported by a profile of minimal dimensions.
The façade is made up of a double skin, one of glass on the inside and a volumetric skin on the outside developed using more than 300 pieces of different sizes of Corten steel, which give the building its peculiar volumetry, as well as contributing to the good energy performance of the building. Now in the final stretch for its inauguration, the Romo Kultur Etxea has achieved the highest rating in energy efficiency, becoming one of the most efficient buildings in Getxo.
In a recent Communication presented at the IV Congress of Nearly Zero Energy Buildings, the following topic is addressed: «Energy savings in buildings with glass curtain walls and double metal skin«, published by Buildable and signed by Patxi Rubin, Technical Director of IMAR. This building is the result of a process that began with the announcement of the Public Competition for the drafting of the Construction Project and Construction Management of the new Culture Classroom in Plaza Santa Eugenia in Getxo (Bizkaia).
