A few weeks ago, Adelaido Rilova (founder of Riventi) participated in a very special breakfast, a breakfast with design, together with a group of architects and students of Interior Architecture from the University of Burgos. The activity took place on the occasion of the day of design, in the Roderas Café, a venue recently awarded in the Architecture Awards of the Demarcation of the College of Architects of Burgos.
This morning Adelaido explained to us how interesting the meeting was, and how much he likes being able to exchange experiences with students and architects who contribute and research new solutions. He highlighted the over-printing of the corporate image on the façade pieces without damaging the finishing material, and also the bar manufactured in Krion, a novel mouldable material based on Alumina Trihydrate and a small amount of resin.
Below is an extract from the jury's minutes of the awards for this work, which highlights the "ingenious motorized carpentry", to which Adelaido contributed his vision.
Renovation of premises for Cafeteria, C/ Conde Lucanor, Burgos.
Author: Mr. José Manuel Méndez Primo.
«Due to the bold and successful location of the bar on the ground floor, facing the park next to which it is situated, in the desire to incorporate it through ingenious motorised carpentry that overcomes the interior-exterior dichotomy, allowing a spatial sequence, of a bar area, a semi-exterior area covered by the canopies of the carpentry lattices and an open exterior terrace area next to the park, which gives rise to a premises and a space of reduced dimensions becoming a much larger premises and spatially richer and more suggestive».
